In this case, you would need help from experts and professionals. They will be able to tell the age of the chair through spectroscopy. The age of the chair, be it bentwood rocking chairs or other types of chair, would be the first step in determining if the chair is antique or not. The chair would also be more valuable if it has history attached to it. For instance, if its original owners were kings, queens, a famous artist or a general then the chair would be more valuable. Simply stating that it is antique would not be enough for you to be able to attract buyers.

Keep in mind that potential buyers would not just consider the style or design and the history behind the chair when they are looking for chairs bentwood. When they are looking for an antique piece they would want to know its age. The older the chair, the higher its value. Knowing all these is very important so that you will not sell precious furniture for a low price only to find out that it was worth a fortune. Maybe if you knew how valuable it is, you may not have wanted to sell it in the first place.
